Ty Riehm, 14, of Waukon, IA, died Tuesday, December 11, 2007 after injuries suffered in an accident at his home. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 17th at 11:00 am at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Waukon, with Rev. Richard A. Iles officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Friends may call from 2:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.

Ty Marcus Riehm was born on February 19, 1993 in Decorah, IA, the son of Tom and Annie (Duffy) Riehm. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Waukon. Ty was currently a 9th grader in the Waukon Schools, where he played on the football team and was particulary interested in studying history. Since he was 8 years old, Ty has been actively helping in his father's construction business, tending to details around the shop and often operating some of the heavy equipment. Ty enjoyed being active and liked riding his four wheeler, dirt bike and snowmobile. He was always helpful around the house and shop and his kind heart earned him a lot of friends.

Survivors include his parents, Tom and Annie Riehm and his sister, Tiffany, all of Waukon; maternal grandparents, Mary Ann Duffy of Decorah and Mark Duffy of Waukon; and several aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold and Selma Riehm; an aunt, Barb; and an uncle, Tim.

Honorary casketbearers are Ty's confirmation class and the Waukon Freshman Football Team players, managers and coaches. Casketbearers are Mark Arneson, Ron Liddiard, Pat Stone, Jason Schierholz, Shawn Delaney and Craig Schrick.
