Tom Alan Knudtson

Tom A. Knudtson, 45, of Marion, IA, formerly of Waukon, IA, died Sunday, June 25, 2006 near Osage, IA. Private family services were held at Oakland Cemetery in Waukon, with Rev. Lynn G. Groe officiating.

Tom Alan Knudtson was born on May 16, 1961 in Waukon, IA, the son of Eugene Lyle and Donna Mae (Winke) Knudtson. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church and graduated from Waukon High School in 1979. Following his schooling, Tom lived in a number of places, including Wyoming, Arkansas and California. He had spent much of his time in the Marion area where he did concrete construction work. Tom enjoyed spending time outdoors and liked to hunt and fish.

Survivors include his mother Donna of Waukon; 2 sisters, Jolie Knudtson of Tacoma, WA and Kim Wheeler of Clive, IA; 5 brothers, Jerry, Mark (Tammy) and Scot, all of Waukon, Jeff of Concord, GA, and Ross (Tracey) of Urbandale, IA; as well as several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Eugene.
