Susan Stanton O’Connor was born on June 14, 1939, in Chicago, IL, to Erma Beryl Jones and James J. Stanton. Susan went on to graduate from Bellevue College as a Registered Nurse, and also spent 20 years working for Sno-Isle Libraries as a library assistant at Mukilteo, WA.

In 1958, Susan married Thomas Joseph O’Connor and had three children: Patrick, Timothy, and Carolyn. They later divorced and Susan met the love of her life Gregory Warren Taylor. Greg and Susan remained together for over five decades and finally married on January 16, 2021.

Susan had many passions and interests including sailing, genealogy, wild mushroom foraging, and folk dancing. She also traveled to many countries by plane, boat, and Volvo; Susan and Greg were always busy planning their next adventure! Susan was a kind soul who volunteered for many organizations like the United States Census, WIC, and Planned Parenthood. She loved to laugh and spread her good nature, and was forever inquisitive, curious, determined, and a devoted animal lover.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents Erma and James Stanton; her son Timothy O’Connor; and nephew Jamie Stanton. She is survived by her husband Greg Taylor; her son Patrick O’Connor; daughter and son-in-law Carolyn and Dave Christensen; her brother James J.
