Shelly L. Fink, 47, of New Albin, IA, died Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, December 13th, at 1:00 PM at the New Albin Community Center in New Albin. A memorial service will also be held Saturday, January 16, 2016, from 2:00-3:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, IA (803 East Mapleleaf Drive).

Shelly Lynn Fink was born February 2, 1968, in Mt. Pleasant, IA, the daughter of Dan Goddard and Judith Kae Scarff. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Mt. Pleasant. Shelly grew up in Mt. Pleasant then moved to Waterloo, IA, to attend the University of Northern Iowa, where she graduated with her bachelors in nursing. Then in 1992, she moved to New Albin, IA, where she was currently working as a registered nurse in home health care. She enjoyed decorating and crafting, and liked to help others with those projects. Shelly also followed the American Standard band. Mostly, Shelly loved spending time with friends and family.

Shelly is survived by her two children: Hunter and Tea Fink, both of New Albin; mother Judith Scarff of O'Fallon, MO; father Dan Goddard of Phoenix, AZ; her brother Travis (Kelli) Goddard of O'Fallon, MO; ex-husband John Fink of New Albin; two brothers-in-law: Luke Fink of La Crosse, WI, and Sawyer Fink of New Albin; two sisters-in-law Molly (Mike) Peters of La Crescent, MN, and Rebecca Fink of Waterloo; father-in-law Johnny Bill Fink of New Albin; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two mothers-in-law: Judy Fink and Sally Fink.
