Sharon Ingalls

Sharon K. Ingalls, 69, of New Albin, IA, passed away from lung cancer on Monday, October 22, 2018, at 12:32 PM at her home. Consecration of the ground at the burial site at St. John's Wheatland United Church of Christ, rural New Albin, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials can be sent to Don Ingalls, 103 Pleasant Avenue, New Albin, IA 52160. Martin Funeral Home in Waukon is assisting the family.

Sharon Kay Ingalls was born on December 11, 1948, in Waterloo IA, the daughter of Vaylord and Katherine (Ruiz) Smith. She is survived by her husband Don Ingalls of New Albin, IA; her son Randy (Linda) Block of Frederika, IA; son Dan (Vicky) Block of Sumner, IA; daughter Tina (Mark) Hageman of Fort Atkinson, IA; stepchildren: Angie Fernau of Lisbon, IA, Brenda Ingalls of Charles City, IA, Cindy (Dan) Reinke of New Albin, IA, and Josh (Brianna) Ingalls of Des Moines, IA; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Sharon was preceded in death by her father Vaylord Smith and her mother Katherine Smith.

Sharon was a diehard Vikings fan. She loved camping with her husband and faithful companions Bailey and Harper. She loved fishing and was recently able to catch some big crappies on her last fishing adventure. She loved her quiet time at home, sitting on her deck drinking her coffee, looking at her flowers, and enjoying the landscape. Sharon will be so missed by all who knew and loved her.
