Sandra A. Baumgartner, 66, of Monona, IA, formerly of Fairfax, IA, died Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha, IA. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM Saturday, April 21st at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, IA. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Friends are welcome to join the family for lunch following the visitation/burial at First Presbyterian Church in Waukon. In lieu of flowers any monetary donations will be made in memory of Sandra to the Hall-Perrine Cancer Center in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Sandra Ann Baumgartner was born June 4, 1951, in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of Victor and Sylvia (Fish) Marti. She was baptized at First Presbyterian Church in Waukon, IA, attended elementary school in Atkins, IA, and graduated from Waukon High School in 1969. On May 16, 1970, she married Dennis Baumgartner at First Presbyterian Church. They farmed together on Red Schoolhouse Road in rural Waukon before moving to the Lamont, IA, where they farmed for Rand-Rod Farm for ten years. She also worked as a cook for Starmont High School in rural Arlington, IA. In 1997, they moved to Fairfax, IA, where she went to work for Shakespeare's Chocolate Factory, traveling throughout the United States. Sandra then went to work for Hometown Restyling in Hiawatha, IA. Sandra and Dennis moved to Monona, IA, in 2017.

She enjoyed spending time outdoors, mainly ATV riding on trails in Wisconsin and taking rides on their three wheel motorcycle, and working in her vegetable and flower gardens. She was also an avid Iowa Hawkeyes Football fan. Mostly, Sandra loved hosting family gatherings and spending time with her family, especially her "boys"; she was an amazing cook and baker, specializing in cheesecakes.

Survivors include her husband Dennis of Monona; her children: Wyatt (Nicole) Baumgartner of Urbana, IA, and Casey (Dave) Wilslef of Cedar Rapids, IA; four grandsons: Devon, Garrett, and Jakob Baumgartner and Quinton Seedorff; four step-grandchildren: Jillian Wilslef and Justin, Kelsey, and Christopher Mickelson; one great-granddaughter Kinsley; two sisters: Shirley Havercamp of Mt. Vernon, IA, and Sharon Johnson of Decorah, IA; four brothers: Delton Marti of Cedar Rapids, IA, Gary Marti of Central City, NE, Dale (Becky) Marti of Whitney, NE, and James (Krista) Marti of Central City, IA. She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother Luvern Marti; two brothers-in-law: Richard Havercamp and Larry Johnson; and two sisters-in-law: Susie and Connie Marti.

Honorary casketbearers are her step-grandchildren. Casketbearers are her grandsons.
