Robyn Joy Collins Meredith, 55, of Caledonia, MN, died Saturday, March 12, 2016, following injuries suffered in an auto accident near Ft. Atkinson, IA. Memorial services will be held Monday, March 21st at 11:00 AM at Old East Paint Creek Lutheran Church in rural Waterville, IA, with Pastor Ken Kimball officiating. Burial of ashes will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, IA.
Robyn Joy Collins Meredith was born on March 22, 1960 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, IA. She was the daughter of Carlton Horace and Sonya Karleen (Liddle) Christianson. She was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waukon and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lansing, IA. Robyn grew up in the Lansing, IA, area and graduated from Kee High School in 1978. She attended Hamilton Business College in Mason City, IA, and took training as a legal secretary. In 1983 she married Robert Collins; they were later divorced. In 2013 she married Cary Meredith. For some time Robyn lived in the Waterville, IA, area but the past many years she has lived in Caledonia, MN, where she worked as a secretary for the Gregory Schultz Law Office.
Robyn enjoyed camping, baking and raising flowers. She was very good with her hands and made jewelry as well as doing knitting, cross stitch and embroidery. Family was important to her and she loved the special times she got to be with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children: Rennae (Cody Stoen) Collins of Spring Grove, MN, and Nathon Collins of Dorchester, IA; 2 grandchildren: Ayden and Gunnar; her father Carlton Christianson of Waukon; and siblings Paula (Steve) Decker and Jeffrey (Pam) Christianson, both of Waukon and Jerry (Becky) Christianson of Postville, IA. She is preceded in death by her mother Sonya and a granddaughter Mikaela.
