Roberta Rolfs

     Roberta T. Rolfs, 81, of Waukon, IA, died Friday, May 29, 2026, at Good Samaritan Center in Waukon. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 3rd, at 11:00 AM at Thornburg - Grau Funeral Home in Lansing with Fr. Joseph Sevcik officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lansing. Friends may greet the family from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Tuesday at Thornburg - Grau Funeral Home in Lansing.

     Roberta Theresa Rolfs was born on December 13, 1944, in Iowa, the daughter of Melvin and Sylvia (Sandry) Hanson. She was baptized and confirmed in Lansing. Roberta married Lloyd Rolfs and the two farmed together for 43 years. They later separated and she moved to Waukon. Roberta loved spending time with her family, playing bingo, and crocheting. She also enjoyed baking and cooking and was an avid card player.

     She is survived by three children: Vickie (Patrick) Kimber of Decorah, IA, Walter (Carla) Rolfs of Lansing, IA, and James Rolfs of Waukon, IA; eight grandchildren: Andy (Tiffany) Kimber of Rochester, MN, Eric Kimber of Decorah, IA, Emily (Jeremy) Potts of Oklahoma City, OK, Tracy (fiancé Tyler Walterman) of Rochester, MN, Patrick (Remi Tinker) Kimber of Decorah, IA, Tristan (fiancé Miranda Meyers) Rolfs of West Salem, WI, Elena Rolfs of Atlanta, GA, and Jacob Rolfs of Lansing, IA; a great-grandchild Jack Kimber; a brother Kenneth (Alice) Hanson of Lansing, IA; and a sister-in-law Mary (Kathy) Hanson of Mooresville, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents; three siblings: Keith Hanson, Richard Hanson, and Ruth Jordon; and a granddaughter Ashley Rolfs.

     Honorary pallbearers are Roberta’s grandchildren.
