Philip Orville Ruen Storla

Philip Storla, 88, of Waukon, IA, died Friday, November 2, 2018, at his home. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, November 7th, at 1:00 PM at Glenwood Lutheran Church in rural Decorah, IA, with Pastor Stacey Nalean-Carlson officiating and burial at Glenwood Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services at the church on Wednesday. Martin Funeral Home in Waukon is handling arrangements.

Philip Orville Ruen Storla was born July 8, 1930, in rural Waukon, IA, the son of Olvin Peter and Stella Irene (Ruen) Storla. He was baptized and confirmed at Glenwood Lutheran Church in rural Decorah, IA, and graduated from Waukon High School in 1948. Phil has lived on the family farm in Glenwood Township, rural Waukon, IA, his entire life, where he raised crops, beef cattle, milked cows, chickens, pigs, and sheep. Phil sold eggs for several years and enjoyed visiting with his customers. He was a member of Glenwood Lutheran Church.

Survivors include several cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents.
