Maureen Becker

Maureen A. Becker, 85, of Waukon, IA, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 1, 2021. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 6th, at 11:00 AM at Oakland Cemetery in Waukon with Pastor Keith Selberg officiating. In consideration of concerns regarding Covid-19, social distancing and wearing of masks is required. The service will also be live streamed on Martin-Grau Funeral Home's facebook page. Maureen Ann Becker was born June 4, 1935, in Waukon, IA, the daughter of Ora and Viola (Moe) Smith. She was baptized at First Presbyterian Church, confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church, and received education at Waukon Elementary and High School. Over her lifetime, Maureen worked at Cote Theaters, Waukon Newspapers, and the Allamakee County Sheriff's Office. She was also an active member at Zion United Church of Christ. 1952, Maureen married Robert L. Stock; he passed away in 1969. In 1971, she married Neil E. Becker at Zion United Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband Neil of Waukon; five children: Karla (Terry) Lubahn, Steve (Kristine) Stock, Cari (Mike) A'Hearn, Mike (Sarita) Becker, and Tim Becker; nine grandchildren: Tracy (Mark) Murphy, Jamie (Travis) Johnson, Tara (Hezy) Doddema, Sarah (Darin) Monroe, Matthew Sweeney, Steven (Jessie) Sweeney, Kaitlin (Zach Green) Lubahn, and Kai and Cassidy Becker; one step-grandchild Beth A'Hearn; her great-grandchildren: Leila and Liliana, Creed, Gabe, Burke, and Dempsey, Landen and Mason, Tristyn, Braxtyn, and Lincoln, Raymond, Elliott, and Emmett, Makenzie and Olivia, and Jensen; and one step-great-grandchild Maddie.

Maureen was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Robert L. Stock, her brother Virgil Smith; great-grandson Logan Michael; and her daughter Kris Sweeney.

Casketbearers are her three sons: Steve Stock and Mike and Tim Becker and her three grandsons: Matthew and Steven Sweeney and Kai Becker.
