Mary L. Pausch, 73, of Waukon, IA, died November 8, 2012, at Good Samaritan Center in Waukon. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 13th, at 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waukon with Rev. Lynn Groe officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Friends may call from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Monday at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.
Mary Louise Pausch was born November 8, 1939, in Allamakee County rural Waukon, IA, the daughter of Edwin Thomas and Evelyn Charlotte (Glaus) Andregg. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waukon and attended rural Allamakee Country Schools and Waukon High School. On October 20, 1956, she married Bernard Pausch at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. They lived in Postville, IA and Waterloo, IA, before moving to Bowling Green, OH. Mary worked at a Wards Outlet Store, shoe store, a restaurant where she was a waitress, and at a casket company where they made baby caskets and pet caskets. She and Bernard moved back to Waukon in 2000.
Mary was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and its women's groups. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, sewing and making quilts that she would give to her family members.
Survivors include her husband, Bernard Pausch of Waukon, IA; her children, Patty (Tony) Hyde of Bowling Green, OH, James Pausch of Bowling Green, OH, Penny Wiessinger of Canal Winchester, OH, Evelyn (Michael) Noon of Bowling Green, OH, Rose Pausch of Columbus, OH, and Rita (Victor) Argobright of Leonardtown, MD; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister, Rose Snitker of Waukon; and a brother, Charles (Mary Ann) Andregg of Lansing, IA. She is preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, JoAnn Johnson.
Casketbearers are Jared Hyde, Nathan Pausch, Michael, Mark and William Wiessinger and Marlin Pausch.
