Mary A. Hagen, 72, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2009 at the Lietz-Fraze Chapel with Rev. David Richardson officiating. Local memorial services will be held Saturday, September 12th at 11:00 AM at Old West Paint Creek Lutheran Church in rural Waukon with Pastor Ken Kimball officiating. Burial of ashes will be in Old West Paint Creek Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour before services at the church on Saturday. Martin Funeral Home in Waukon assisted the family with local services.

Mary Ann Hagen was born on August 19, 1937 in LaCrosse, WI; to Leonard and Thelma (Tabler) Hagen. Mary moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 8 years ago from Eau Claire, WI. She worked as a registered nurse for 40 years. Mary was an avid cyclist, a Green Bay Packer fan and loved traveling and photography.

Survivors include her son, Jon Broughton and wife Sandy of Ankeny, IA; daughter, Sara Peelman and husband Scott of Pinehurst, NC; sisters, Helen Hanson (twin sister) and husband Vern of Monona, IA; Norma Putnam and husband Henry of Unionville, MO; Karen Steffenson and husband Glen of Elizabeth, IL; and grandchildren, Kayla and Joey Peelman and Elizabeth and David Broughton. She was preceded in death by her parents.
