Lyle Harold Dee was born September 25, 1942, in Waukon, IA, the son of Harold and Georgia (Beisker) Dee. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion United Church of Christ in Waukon, where we was a lifetime member, and attended Waukon schools. Lyle farmed the entirety of his life on the family farm, milking cows and raising pigs and crops. He also drove milk truck for the Waukon creamery before buying his own route to haul both milk and livestock. On April 15, 1972, he married Judy Siverly at Zion United Church of Christ.
He loved old tractors, particularly John Deere, and rode them in parades and won trophies at fairs for tractor pulls. He also enjoyed going to farm sales, playing euchre, and when he had the time, liked to go fishing. Mostly, Lyle loved spending time with his grandchildren.
