Lowell M. Larson, 62, of Waukon, IA, died Thursday, June 14, 2012, at his home in Waukon. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 19th, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dorchester, IA, with Fr. Joseph Schneider officiating. Burial with military graveside rites will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dorchester. Friends may call from 4:00 - 8:00 PM Monday at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon where there will be a 4:00 PM scripture service.

Lowell Martin Larson was born on November 14, 1949 in Waukon, IA, the son of Henry and Marquerite (Blake) Larson. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church and graduated from St. Patrick Catholic High School in 1967. Lowell served in the United States Army from 1968 until1969. On July 19, 1971 he married Sheila Barr. They were later divorced. He drove semi for area trucking companies for several years. He married Linda Kerndt and they were later divorced. Lowell was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

Survivors include his children, Casey (Carrie) Larson of Waukon, IA, Jared (fiancée Stephanie Williams) Larson of Monona, IA, and Leena Larson of Waukon, IA,; 6 grandchildren, Kennedy, Brooklyn, Brianna, Carter, Caleb and Austin; 2 brothers, Kenneth (Sharon) and Walter (Dianne) Larson, both of Dorchester, IA; 7 sisters, Genevieve Rude of Decorah, IA, Karen (Al) Ullerich of Guttenberg, IA, Alice Miller of Waukon, IA, Roseann Williams of Pine Island, MN, Anna Marie (Tony) Danaher of Casper, WY, and Cathy (Norbert) Kruse and Linda (Joe) Eiken, both of Dorchester, IA; and a sister-in-law, Joanne Larson of Waukon, IA. He is preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Carly Larson; 4 brothers, Henry, Herbert, Larry and Ralph Larson; and 3 brothers-in-law, Chuck Rude, Bart Williams and Keith Miller.

Honorary casketbearers are Lowell's grandchildren.
