Kay H. Godden, 72, of Waukon, IA, died Monday, February 6, 2012, at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Burial will be at Rossville Cemetery, Rossville. Friends may call from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Thursday at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.
Kay Harlene Godden was born August 9, 1939 in Rossville, IA, the daughter of Harold and Leona (Buege) Walters. She attended Rossville Elementary School and Rossville Jr. High. Kay lived in Mason City and Fayetteville, AR. On March 8, 1974 she married Wallace Godden in Mason City, IA. They moved back to the Waukon area in 1998. Kay was a member of the VFW auxiliary in Fayetteville where she served as a past president. She enjoyed NASCAR, gardening, working puzzles and collecting cookbooks and clocks. She loved animals especially dogs and birds.
Survivors include her husband, Wallace; her children, Tina (John Baumgartner) Folsom, Tim Clark all of Waukon, and Gary Clark of Fayetteville, AR; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 6 step-children, Cindy, Gloria, Wally, Jr., Julie, Marvin and Tom; and a daughter-in-law, Sue Grotegut of Waukon. She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Joseph Stone; 2 daughters, Faith Stone and Debra Green; a granddaughter, Nicole Andregg; a sister, Mary Lou Walters and a son-in-law, Barry Green.
Honorary casketbearers are Kay's grandchildren. Casketbearers are Dylan Bork, John Baumgartner, Michael Drain, John Hitner, Mark Fraaken and Matt Ehr.
