Kathleen "Kay" Ann Houlihan

Kathleen 'Kay" A. Houlihan, 80, of Waukon, IA, died Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Memorial services will be held Saturday, September 23rd, at 11:00 AM at St. Ann's - St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Sevcik officiating and burial will be at St. Joseph's Paint Rock Cemetery, both in Harpers Ferry. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until time of services at the church on Saturday. Martin – Grau Funeral Home in Waukon is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to TASC.

Kathleen "Kay" Ann Houlihan was born June 10, 1943, in La Crosse, WI, the daughter of James and Mary "Bernie" (Alyward) Houlihan. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joesph's Paint Rock Catholic Church and attended Waterville Elementary School. Kay did various jobs for TASC in Waukon. She loved spending time with her family, especially going out to eat and gathering for the holidays. Kay enjoyed swimming, gardening, and crocheting. She was an avid reader, collected dolls, and loved the Beatles, collecting their books and memorabilia.

Survivors include her brothers: Pat (Kathy) Houlihan of La Crosse, WI, Dennis (Mona) Houlihan of Dubuque, IA, Tom (Karen) Houlihan of La Crosse, WI, and Brian (Lynette) Houlihan of Harpers Ferry; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: John and James "Jimmy" Houlihan.

The family is grateful for the quality of life TASC gave to Kay for over 40 years. They would also like to thank the staffs at Northgate Care Center and Veterans Memorial Hospital.
