Karen S. Bresnahan, 54, of Dorchester, IA, died Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI. Memorial services will be held Monday, June 27th, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Hanover Catholic Church in rural Waukon, IA, with Fr. John Moser officiating. Friends may call from 9:30 AM until time of services at the church on Monday. Martin – Grau Funeral Home in Waukon is handling the arrangements.
Karen Sue Bresnahan was born February 27, 1968, in Waukon, IA, the daughter of Dennis and Suzanne (Teff) Bresnahan. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary's Hanover Catholic Church and graduated from Waukon High School in 1986. Karen worked at Northern Engraving until it closed and then helped her parents on their farm in rural Dorchester.
Karen was a member of St. Mary's Hanover Catholic Church. She was a very kind, loving, caring, and giving person, was always thinking of others, and was an angel to her family and friends. Karen never complained about anything that was going on in her life. She loved to spoil her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Karen enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens and doing crafts.
Survivors include her parents Dennis and Suzanne of Dorchester; her siblings: Jackie (Richard) Johnson of Waukon, Donnie Bresnahan of Dorchester, and Vicki (Todd) Mitchell of Waukon; her nieces and nephews: Ashley (Loren) Mitchell and their children Bexley and Witten, Brandon (Morgan) Johnson and a baby due in October, Devin Johnson and special friend Hailey Regan, Michael (Jessica) Mitchell and their children Leighton and Lyla, Marisa (Gabe) Dee, and Kaden Mitchell; and the family dog Diesel. She is preceded in death by her grandparents.
Honorary casketbearers are her nieces and nephews.
