Jean Stuckman

Jean A. Stuckman, 76, of Waukon, IA, died Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Good Samaritan Center in Waukon. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 21st, at 11:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waukon with Pastor Bryan Robertson officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Friends may greet the family from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Wednesday at Martin - Grau Funeral Home in Waukon.

Jean Ann Stuckman was born March 6, 1947, in Decorah, IA, the daughter of Eldo M. and Cora Marion (Sandbeck) Krumme. She was baptized and confirmed at Glenwood Lutheran Church in rural Decorah and graduated from Waukon High School. On June 18, 1972, Jean married Victor A. Stuckman at Glenwood Lutheran Church. They farmed in Ludlow Township before moving to Waukon in 1977. Jean became a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was active in their Dorcas Circle, co-chaired their meatball supper committee, and helped put together world relief kits and church quilts. She worked in the bakery at Quillin's Food Ranch and was a dietary aide at Good Samaritan Society for eight years.

Jean enjoyed sewing, quilting, and playing bingo. She and Vic did a bit of traveling as well, including to Lake Tahoe and the western states to visit family. Jean also volunteered for the St. Vincent's thrift store.

She is survived by her husband Vic of Waukon; three sons: Christopher of Waukon, Andrew of Monona, IA, and Timothy Stuckman of Waukon; grandchildren Caden and Draven Stuckman; and her siblings: Donald Krumme of Carson City, NV, and Carol Krumme of Waukon. Jean was preceded in death by her parents.

Honorary casketbearers are David and Greg Hill, Mark Kvammen, and Frank Seiple. Casketbearers are Bruce, Doug, and Gary Kubitz, Gregg Shattuck, Dean Smorstad, and Ron Emery.
