James B. Richardson, 77, of Harpers Ferry, IA, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, WI. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 20th, at the Community Center in Harpers Ferry, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Martin Funeral Home in Waukon assisted the family with cremation.
James Benjamin Richardson was born January 4, 1941, in Waterloo, IA, the son of Benjamin and Rosemary (Collins) Richardson. He graduated from West High School in Waterloo, IA, in 1959, and received a BA from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA. James worked in sales most of his life. He enjoyed going to auctions, car shows, reading, and collecting anything and everything.
Survivors include his children: Kelly (James) Branch of Rochester, MN, Christopher (Emily) Richardson of Missoula, MT, and Sasha (Daniel) Richardson of Las Cruses, NM; seven grandchildren: Melissa, Jack, Nicholas, and Natalie Zinser, Collin, Liam, and Sadie Richardson; a brother John Richardson of Harpers Ferry, IA, and a sister Sharon (Jim) Cagley of Rockville, MD. He is preceded in death by his parents; and son Benjamin Richardson.
