Grayson Lynn Troendle

Grayson Lynn Troendle, 17 day old infant son of Josh and Laura Troendle of Waukon, IA, died Sunday, December 13, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 17, 2015, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.

Grayson Lynn Troendle was born on November 26, 2015 at Franciscan Mayo Hospital in La Crosse, WI. His short life was spent battling bravely against numerous health issues. During this time he managed to touch the lives of not only his family but the many health care workers who surrounded him. His small, active body and twinkling eyes were a strong indication of his potential creativity and personality as he interacted with those who lovingly cared for him.
Surviving family include his parents Joshua and Laura (Haakenstad) Troendle and his brother Logan of Waukon; paternal grandparents Paul Troendle and friend Mimi Picray of Lansing, IA; maternal grandparents Lynn and Marilyn Haakenstad of Canton, MN; paternal great-grandparents Carol Schaefer of Lansing and Ray and Mona Shelton of Waukon; maternal great-grandparents Mert Fairchild of Canton, MN and Gen Haakenstad of Mabel, MN; uncles Justin Troendle of Waukon and Chris (Pauline) Haakenstad of Milton, WA; aunt and godparent Melissa (Cliff) Schnitzler of Waukon; and godparents Sean Larkin and Brandan and Shauna Ashbacher. He was preceded by paternal grandmother Dawn Troendle; maternal great-grandmother Shirley Fairchild; maternal great-grandfather Richard Haakenstad; and paternal great-grandfather Al Schaefer.
