Gerald "Jerry" George Breeser

Gerald "Jerry" G. Breeser, 72, of Waukon, IA, died Wednesday, December 14, 2011, at Good Samaritan Center in Waukon. Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 17th, at 11:00 AM at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, with Rev. Duane Smith officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery, Prairie du Chien, WI. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until time of services on Saturday at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.

Gerald George Breeser was born on February 11, 1939 in New Albin, IA, the son of Louis and Lillian (Meyer) Breeser. He attended the Irish Hollow Country School, rural New Albin and graduated from New Albin High School in 1956. He married Sandra Jean Witt, they had two children, Danny and Tammy and later divorced. Jerry later married Delores Barr-Karnopp in 1987 at Forest Mills Methodist Church, rural Postville, IA. Over the years Jerry worked at Trane Company in La Crosse and farmed. In 1973 he suffered a stroke which never kept him from doing whatever he wanted to do. As a child he was baptized at St. John's United Church of Christ, rural New Albin. In 1975 he was saved and baptized by immersion at the Bible Baptist Church in Prairie du Chien, WI. Jerry loved God's word and reading the Bible. He was a faithful listener of the Radio program Cross-Talk.

His family knows they will see him again in Heaven and it is his desire that you would see him there too!

Survivors include his wife, Delores Breeser of Waukon, IA; his children, Danny (Georgia) Breeser of Prairie du Chien, WI and Tammy (J.C.) Schnurr of New Hampton, IA; 4 stepchildren, Dixie Martinez of Waukon, Chester Barr Jr. of Dodgeville, WI, Angie (David) Frahm of Clarence, IA and Robert (Gretchen) Karnopp of Cedar Rapids, IA; 4 siblings, Gilman (Luise) Breeser of La Crescent, MN, Melvin (Joyce) Breeser of La Crescent, MN, Lila (Larry) Cina of Viroqua, WI, and Randy (Diane) Breeser of La Crosse, WI, and several grand and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Honorary casketbearers are Jordan Breeser, Joseph Breeser, Joshua Frahm, Jesse Krivachek and Zachary Stahl.
