George Wild, 47, of Lansing, IA, died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, IA. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 1st, at 11:00 AM at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, with Rev. Lynn G. Groe officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Friends may call from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM Sunday at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.
George Henry Allen Wild was born on March 8, 1963 in Waukon, IA, to Millard F. and Jean D. (Molitor) Wild. He attended local schools and graduated from the Waukon High School. George married Brenda McCullick, they later divorced and he married Tammy Johnson, they later divorced. George lived and worked on the same farm his entire life. In addition to farming, he also worked at Cabela's in Prairie du Chien, WI. He enjoyed traveling, the Vikings, hunting, fishing and was a past member of the Decorah Fox and Coon Club.
Survivors include four children, Breanna Wild of Prairie du Chien, WI, Nichole Wild of Platteville, WI, Chelsea Wild of McGregor, IA and Riley Wild of Hokah, MN; three sisters, Mildred (Robert) Allan of Gays Mills, WI, Katherine "Kathy" (William) Langreck of West Union, IA and Darlene (Robert) Ludeking of Decorah. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Casketbearers are Rich Vonderhoe, Dennis Reppe, Clint Ludeking, Shawn Ewing, Wayne Weber and Danny Cole.
