Florence J. Beisker, 83, of Frederic, WI, and formerly of Waukon, IA, died Monday, April 20, 2009, at Frederic Nursing and Rehabilitation in Frederic. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 25th, at 3:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, IA, with Pastor Garry Birth officiating. Burial will be held in Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Friends may call from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Friday at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.
Florence June Beisker was born on October 29, 1925 in Waukon, the daughter of Willis and Dottie (Wickham) Fuller. On June 20, 1944 she married Dean E. Beisker in Waukon. Florence lived her entire life in Waukon until eight years ago when she moved to live with her daughter Nancy. She was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church in Waukon. Florence enjoyed playing board games, crossword puzzles, embroidery, taking care of her African Violets and doing a lot of reading.
Survivors include her children, Ernie, John, Dennis, and Earl Beisker all of Waukon, Rosalie (Mike) Mattson of Menomonie, WI, Francis (Linda) Beisker of Dorchester, Nancy (Ronald) Wood of Frederic, WI and Richard Beisker of Yuba City, CA. 23 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Dean who died on June 4, 1986.
Casketbearers are her sons.
