Esther L. Schultz, 77, of Waukon, IA, died Saturday, January 31, 2009, at Northgate Care Center in Waukon. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 5th, at 11:00 AM at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, with Rev. Lynn G. Groe officiating. Burial will be at Dorchester Methodist Cemetery, Dorchester, IA. Friends may call from 10:30 - 11:00 AM Thursday at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.
Esther Loraine Schultz was born November 5, 1931 the daughter of Henry and Mary (Burroughs) Schultz in Union City Township, rural Dorchester, IA. She was a lifelong resident of Allamakee County, she grew up near Dorchester and lived at Makee Manor from 1986 to 2006 before moving to Northgate Care Center. Esther enjoyed animals, music, car rides throughout Allamakee County, wearing jewelry and looking nice.
Survivors include staff and friends at Makee Manor and Northgate Care Center. She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Loretta Spores and Anna Spores, 2 brothers, Wilford and Raymond Schultz.
Casketbearers are Randy Dehli, Tim Smith and staff members of Makee Manor.
