Dianne Lee Johnson

Dianne L. Johnson, 69, of Soldiers Grove, WI, formerly of Dorchester, IA, died Thursday, March 23, 2023, at her home in Soldiers Grove. Graveside services will be held Friday, June 16th, at 4:00 PM, at St. Mary's Dorchester Cemetery in Dorchester. Martin – Grau Funeral Home in Waukon is handling the arrangements.

Dianne Lee Johnson was born September 30, 1953, in Waukon, IA, the daughter of Harlan and Elinor "Jeanne" (Kannenberg) Johnson. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waukon and graduated from Waukon High School in 1971. Dianne lived in Dorchester, IA, with her longtime partner Walter Larson, where she worked at the post office. She enjoyed painting and woodworking with Walter.

Survivors include her daughters: Dana Douglass of Soldiers Grove, WI, and Melodie Rosebear of Circle Pines, MN; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother David Johnson of Cedar Rapids, IA; and a sister Deborah (Rodney) Sickles of Dorchester. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Daniel Douglass, and her significant other Walter Larson.
