Dennis S. Huffman, 75, of Lansing, IA, died Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Thornton Manor in Lansing. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Martin Funeral Home in Waukon is assisting the family with arrangements.
Dennis Stanley Huffman was born January 1, 1941, in Chicago, IL, the son of William Leon Jack and Clara (Zaborowski) Huffman. He attended Palatine High School in Palatine, IL. On June 28, 1958, he married Elizabeth Mae Gritmacker in Maquoketa, IA. Dennis worked as a parts manager for Exxon/Tredegar in Lake Zurich, IL, before retiring in 2001. Dennis and Elizabeth moved to rural Lansing, IA, in 2002. He enjoyed mowing his lawn, working in his vegetable and flower gardens, and sitting on his porch.
Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Huffman of Lansing; two daughters: Kathleen Huffman of Lansing, IA, and Vickie (George) Farning of Harrisburg, NC; and four grandchildren: Alex and Jessica Vilmin, Dylan and Janett Farning. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister Jackie Weber; and two brothers: William and Art Huffman.
