Debra K. Green, 51, of Waukon, IA, died Tuesday, January 13, 2009, at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, IA. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 19th, at 11:00 AM at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, with Pastor Ken Kimball officiating. Burial will be at Rossville Cemetery, Rossville, IA. Friends may call from 2:00 - 6:00 PM Sunday at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.
Debra Kay Green was born June 8, 1957 in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of Neil and Kay (Walters) Stone. She attended Waterville Elementary School and graduated from Waukon High School and attended Manhattan Community College in Manhattan, KS. On February 14, 1991 she married Barry "Jimmy" Green in Kansas City, KS. Debra worked for the Social Security Administration in Kansas City, KS, and Decorah, IA. She also worked at Northern Engraving in Waukon until 2008. She enjoyed reading, watching old westerns, taking hikes in Effigy Mounds and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her 2 daughters, Ashley Green and Amanda Green both of Waukon; and a step-daughter, Mary Ellen Green of Seattle, WA; 2 grandsons, Trevor Filyaw and Luke Green; her mother, Kay (Wallace) Godden of Waukon; 1 sister, Tina Folsom of Waukon; 2 brothers, Tim Clark of Waukon and Gary Clark of Fayetteville, AR. She is preceded in death by her husband, Barry who died in 1993; her father, Neil Stone; a sister, Faith Stone and a brother, Joseph Stone.
