Dean A. Kostman, 57, of Waukon, IA, died Sunday, September 21, 2014, at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 25th, at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Presbyterian Cemetery in rural Postville, IA, with Pastor Steve Brackett officiating. Martin Funeral Home in Waukon is handling arrangements.
Dean Allen Kostman was born September 9, 1957, the son of Calvin Kostman and Carol (Fettkether) Kostman Pausch. He grew up on the family farm north of Postville, IA, and graduated from Postville High School in 1976. Dean worked various jobs through the years, but he was happiest at Northern Engraving in Waukon, IA. He worked there 14 years until they closed.
He enjoyed going to a wide variety of movies with his brother Robert, and was also a big Stephen King fan. Dean liked family get-togethers and catching up on what his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews were involved in. He loved all the family pets over the years.
Dean is survived by one sister Deborah Engelhardt of Waterloo, IA; two brothers: Robert Kostman of Waukon and John (Sue) Kostman of Mt. Vernon, IA; his stepdad Marlin Pausch of Waukon; three nephews; two nieces; six great-nephews; and four great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
