Carma Joyce Harris

Carma J. Harris, 84, of Waukon, IA, died Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Good Samaritan Center in Waukon. Per her wishes, no services will be held. Martin – Grau Funeral Home in Waukon is handling arrangements.

Carma Joyce Harris was born May 7, 1939, in Waukon, IA, the daughter of Ernest and Carlotta (Lier) White. She graduated from Waukon High School in 1957. On December 7, 1958, she married Dale Harris; they later divorced. Carma worked at Northgate Care Center in Waukon from 1973 until retiring in 1998. She was member of First Presbyterian Church in Waukon.

Survivors include her daughters: Dr. Rhoda (Andy) Lipscomb of Denver, CO, and Laurie (Gerald) Brink of Waukon; three grandchildren: Michelle (Brandon) Dietrich, Chris (Mandy) Mathis, and Chelsea Mathis; eight great-grandchildren: Preston, Natalie, Emrie, and Treven Dietrich, Jacob, Meleana, and Kalea Mathis, and Jack Anderson; one brother Boyd (JoAnn) White of San Antonio, TX; and one sister-in-law Molly White of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Conrad (Betty) White and Neil White; and two sisters: DeVonna (Ed) Pratt and infant Shirley.
