Memorial services for Brigitte Weymiller, of Harpers Ferry, IA, will be held Friday, May 15th, at 2:00 PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon, IA. The family invites relatives and friends to join them for a Celebration of Life beginning at 5:00 PM on Friday after the service at Portside Supper Club in Harpers Ferry, where a meal will be served from 5 -7:00 PM. Please feel free to stay, visit, and share memories into the evening. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred for a scholarship fund for Brigitte's children, Drew and Brynn. Brigitte L. Weymiller, 49, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Emplify Gundersen Health System in La Crosse, WI, surrounded by many of her closest family and friends. The room was packed full and overflowing as Brigitte was beloved by so many. She was kind, hilarious, inclusive, smart, charismatic, and known for her epic air guitar solos. She was social to a fault, couldn’t not say something even if her voice was completely gone, plagued by her FOMO and YOLO mentality. She definitely lived her life to the fullest, spending countless hours on the Mississippi River and traveling with friends, including her love of camping with the crew at Little Paint Yacht and Social Club and hanging with the “Wolfpack” friend group and their wolf pups. She spent every chance she got with family, most recently hosting Easter, and making every social event better. She loved to be comfy at home, enjoying her favorite activity of “being horizontal”, wearing her “sweet” pants, and holding on to favorite clothes for much too long. She made sure everyone felt welcomed, giving everyone (and everything) a nickname or pet name – her kids “sugar and booger” with the kids fighting over who was which depending on the day, swear word “shootie bootie lemon scootie”, family dog “puppy doggerton”, “boyfriend girlfriend” truck and “Sweep Caroline” the vacuum. She was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age 11 and went on to help so many people with her work as a dietician, diabetes educator, and then at Tandem Diabetes as a clinical territory manager. She was a helper, always finding people to support in her community and family, even striking up in-depth conversations with strangers. She was a super fan for her kids, driving them to literally every activity offered at Waukon High School (as well as the surrounding schools). She was often the life of the party and seemed to make everything better. She lived her life to the fullest and our hearts are absolutely shattered, but her life should INSPIRE us to live our best possible life; never let a day go by without having the most fun possible.

Brigitte Lee Sullivan Weymiller was born May 13, 1976, in La Crosse, WI, to Richard and Cathy (Stirn) Sullivan. She graduated Waukon High School in 1994, and Viterbo College in 1998 with a degree in dietetics.

She is survived by her husband Eric Weymiller (married Aug. 27, 2005); her children Drew (20) and Brynn (16); her parents Dick and Cathy Sullivan; Eric’s parents Steve and Chris Weymiller; Eric’s grandparents Doc and JeanAnn Weymiller; sister Chelle (Danny) Meyer; brother Jason (Nikki) Sullivan; sister-in-law Michelle (John) Buetow; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews (whom she loved like her own).

She joins loved ones in heaven including her late brother Kyle Sullivan; aunts: Sharon Brown, Micki Connor, LeeAnn Cooper, Jackie Welch, and Cindy McDowell; treasured cousin Joan Dietrich; uncle Jamie Weymiller; maternal Stirn grandparents; Sullivan grandparents; and paternal Welch grandparents.
