Brian S. Baures, 32, of Lansing, IA, died Friday, January 14, 2011, at his residence in Lansing. Friends may call from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon where there will be a time for sharing memories at 7:30 PM.
Brian Scott Baures was born on October 6, 1978 in La Crosse, WI, the son of Joseph and Sandi (Reger) Baures. He grew up in Lansing where he attended local schools. While in High School he participated in Football and Baseball. Brian worked for many years at Carlson Concrete and Wilkinson Salvage. Most recently he was employed at Agriprocessors in Postville. Brian's lifelong love for animals started as a child when he would bring home stray cats. He enjoyed hunting, reading a lot of fiction books, especially Stephen King, working on his car and helping friends.
Survivors include his parents; Joe and Sandi Baures of Onalaska, WI; a son, Dawson Baures of Waukon, IA; a brother, Tim Baures of Detroit, MI, and by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and an uncle, Rick Reger.
