Bradford J. Krambeer, 67, of Waukon, IA, passed away peacefully at his home in Waukon with his family by his side on Saturday, September 2, 2017. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 7th, at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church in Waukon, with Pastor Grant VanderVelden officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Oakland Cemetery in Waukon. Friends may call from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Wednesday at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.

Bradford John Krambeer was born February 6, 1950, at Postville Community Hospital in Postville, IA, the son of Burnell and Carol (Gilson) Krambeer. He was baptized at the Lutheran Church in Monona, IA, and confirmed at First Presbyterian Church in Waukon, IA. In 1968, Bradford graduated from Waukon High School. He then enlisted in the Marine Corps and served for three years. Following his honorable discharge, he attended and graduated from Marshalltown Community College and then went on to study biology at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Returning home to Waukon, Bradford then worked in construction for Gary Berger and Gary Lonning. On February 17, 1979, he married Beverly Ann Hanson at Old West Paint Creek Lutheran Church in rural Waukon. Bradford started working as a mail carrier for the city of Waukon and retired after 25 years.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Waukon and served on various committees. He served on the Waukon Park and Recreation board. Bradford also supported the Booster Club where he served as an officer. Bradford belonged to the American Legion and VFW. An avid sports fan, he loved both watching and playing, especially golf, and belonged to the Waukon Country Club. The Iowa Hawkeyes, Pittsburgh Steelers, and San Francisco Giants were his teams of choice. Bradford also enjoyed playing euchre, caring for the yard, and detailing his cars. He liked having fun in the sun and spending time on the river and sand bars. Above all, Bradford cherished spending time with family, including his dog, Maddie, and took many memorable vacations to the Wisconsin Dells with his kids. He also enjoyed two wonderful trips to Mexico with his brothers and their wives.

Survivors include his wife Beverly of Waukon; his children: Kristy (Adam) Anderson of Waukon, Michael (Amanda) Krambeer of Cedar Falls, IA, and Carly (Brandon Trausch) Krambeer of Rochester, MN; three grandchildren: Tucker and Madison Anderson and Layton Krambeer; and siblings: Kenny (Gloria) Krambeer of Waukon, Dean (Linda) Krambeer of Pine Island, MN, and Kim Sylvester of Waukon.

Bradford was preceded in death by his father Burnell Krambeer; mother Carol Gilson Krambeer Reeder; stepfather Dale Reeder; two sisters: Lana Anderson and Janet Baumgartner; and two brothers-in-law: Dennis Sylvester and John Baumgartner.

Honorary casketbearers are his grandchildren. Casketbearers are Jack Allison, Robert Campbell, Roger Ellefson, Greg Gilbertson, Steve Hager, Mike Quillin, Doug Kubitz, and Randy Sweeney.
