Beulah L. Enyart, 87, of Waukon, IA, died Monday, June 4, 2012, at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 8th, at 10:30 AM at Forest Mills United Methodist Church in rural Postville, IA, with Rev. Richard Iles officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Friends may call from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Thursday at Martin Funeral Home in Waukon.

Beulah Leona Enyart was born on April 18, 1925 in Waukon, IA, the daughter of Leonard Leo and Alice Bell (Tindell) Lawson. She attended rural Allamakee County elementary schools and graduated from Waukon High School. On May 19, 1944 she married Hartley James Enyart Sr. at the Forest Mills United Methodist Church in rural Postville, IA. Beulah and Hartley farmed together in Jefferson Township, rural Waukon, until 1970. They also managed the Disco Service Station and the Village Motel, both in Waukon, for several years. In 1985 they moved to Dallas, TX, where they tended to the care of an elderly couple for several years until returning to their farm in 1989.

Beulah raised a big garden on the farm, using the produce for cooking and canning. She specialized in berries and her different kinds of raspberries were in high demand. She also enjoyed taking trips around the farm to pick the wild berries that grew there. Beulah loved spending time with and entertaining her family and friends as well as going visiting and attending community events.

Survivors include her 3 children, Hartley Jr. ( Vickie) and David (Christine), both of Waukon, and Joyce (Lanny) Marting of Postville; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Esther Enyart of Lancaster, TX and Sara Enyart of Postville, IA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Hartley Sr., who died in 2003; a son, James Donald Enyart; 2 brothers, Roland and Donald Lawson; a sister, Gertrude Moose Hamm; and 2 brothers-in-law, William and Donald Enyart.

Honorary casketbearers are Alicia, Megan, Callie, and Amanda Enyart, Renee & Brandon Kostman, Chasity & Dan Bushaw, Ann Marting, Anita Seger, and Justin Lawson. Casketbearers are Scott, Erik, David G. Dustin, and Daniel Enyart and Matthew Marting.
