Anita A. Goebel, 92, of La Crosse, died on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Bethany St. Joseph Care Center. She was born on May 19, 1923 in Waukon, IA to Albert and Anna Marie (Hermanson) Goebel. Anita had worked at the Tosa Club in La Crosse for many years. She was a gifted poet and enjoyed stitching and creating her own fiber artistry. Anita was very intelligent with a great sense of humor and positive attitude.
She is survived by several cousins and a special friend Patricia Mattie.
A Prayer Service for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 5th at 11:00 AM at the Martin Funeral Home, 202 Allamakee Street, Waukon, IA. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. The Schumacher-Kish Funeral & Cremation Services of La Crosse and Martin Funeral Home in Waukon are assisting the family.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center for the wonderful care they gave Anita.
